About Little Loose Goose

The Author

Meet Karl Akers, an exceptional father and masterful storyteller whose unwavering dedication to his children led him to shape their bedtime routines with his own enchanting narratives.

Storytelling holds a special place in our daily lives, capturing our minds and firing our imagination, whether through fairy tales, timeless fables or personal anecdotes. At Little Loose Goose we hold storytelling in the highest regard, and we have found a way to make it even more extraordinary.

Rather than sticking to conventional books, Karl came up with the idea of "brain stories": magical tales conjured on the spot, complete with whimsical characters and the perfect blend of amusing voices.

The Book

Storytelling is at the heart of our daily lives, with its knack for capturing the imagination, whether through fairy tales, fables or personal anecdotes. At Little Loose Goose we cherish that magic, and we have found a way to make it even more special.

Instead of a traditional book, Karl started with "brain stories", weaving magical narratives on the spot, complete with whimsical characters and silly voices to match. The Little Loose Goose book brings that same spirit to the page, written by Karl Akers and illustrated by Mousam Banerjee.

The Illustrator

Mousam Banerjee is a full-time artist and illustrator who loves staying busy with everything from whimsical children's books to realistic concept art.

Born into an artistic family, he was creating original paintings from childhood. As his own children grew, he missed the nightly ritual of putting them to bed with enchanting tales. With a Post Graduate Diploma in Fine Arts, he has since built a career in digital illustration.

Honeypot Children's Charity

At Little Loose Goose we are committed to making a positive impact in our community. That is why we proudly support the Honeypot Children's Charity, an organisation dedicated to helping young carers across the UK.

Honeypot provides vital support to young carers who are looking after a sick or disabled parent or sibling. Their services include Respite Breaks, Educational Booster Breaks, Wellbeing Grants, Healthy Eating and Nutrition, and Pastoral Support.

They believe in early intervention, stepping in before challenges become deeply rooted in a young person's life. We are proud to help support the work they do.
